Sandhill cranes migrating along the central flyway

The Flyway

Where the journey begins.

Born from the Hunt

Sandhill Crane Supply Co. started under the wide-open skies of West Texas, where the haunting calls of sandhill cranes echo across the plains at dawn. It was there, watching thousands of birds descend on the playa lakes and agricultural fields, that we realized these magnificent creatures deserved our admiration and protection.

What began as a passion for waterfowl hunting evolved into something greater: a commitment to creating premium gear that honors the tradition of the hunt while supporting the conservation of the very birds that inspire us.

Every product we create carries the spirit of the flyway. From our carefully curated gear to Layla's original artwork, everything we do celebrates the sandhill crane and the wild places they call home.

Our Mission

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Sandhill cranes in their natural wetland habitat

Habitat: Sandhill cranes thrive in open wetlands, prairies, and agricultural fields across North America. They require shallow water for roosting and open grasslands for feeding.

Migration: Each spring and fall, these birds undertake one of nature's most spectacular journeys, traveling along ancient flyways that have been used for thousands of years.

Conservation Status: While the greater sandhill crane population is healthy, some subspecies remain endangered. Habitat preservation remains critical to their continued success.
